New Orleans is still on the mend after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, but like the legendary phoenix, aspects of the glorious city are rising from the ashes in spectacular fashion. Formerly the Fairmount Hotel, the building was closed until this past July after undergoing a lavish $145-million restoration.
