Taking Off: Charest-Weinberg Gallery's Pedro Barbeito/Jason Gringler Exhibit

Headed to Miami? New York-based artists Pedro Barbeito and Jason Gringler have migrated south as well for a joint exhibit at the city's Charest-Weinberg Gallery. The show bridges digital and handmade art with Barbeito's works (made from thin layers of paint) and Gringler's pieces (constructed using mirrors, spray paint and Plexiglas). Hot Spot: The Wolfsonian's Beauty on the Beach Exhibit

The Wolfsonian at Miami's Florida International University is combining culture with beach fashion in its Beauty on the Beach: A Centennial Celebration of Swimwear exhibit featuring vintage suits, bathing caps, beach accessories and beachwear advertisements. Also on display will be archives from the Jantzen swimwear company, which celebrates its 100th birthday this year—and still looks smashing in a bikini! Hot Spot: Miami Swimming Pools
